Michele DiCorcia Owner A to Z Pool Inspections
A thorough professional pool inspection lets home buyers and home owners know about the condition of the pool and its mechanical processes. If left unchecked, easy to detect issues could become costly to repair.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The purpose of the pool inspection is similar to that of you hiring a home inspector to inspect the home you are interested in purchasing. You want the home inspector to tell you about the major components of the house (i.e., the roof, the HVAC, the electric, the windows, the floors, etc.) so that you and your Realtor can decide if you want to move forward in purchasing the home. The home inspector also calls in "experts" such as roofers and electricians if anything needs further investigation.
The pool inspection is just like the home inspection; it is so you and your Realtor can decide if you want to move forward in purchasing the home based on the information contained in the pool inspection report AND experts, such as electricians and plumbers and pool companies will be noted if anything needs further investigation.
My fee for pool inspections varies, to get an accurate quote give us a call at (609) 558-1111. Our inspection includes an inspection of the pool and its components. During the inspection I will look at and report on the decking, the coping, the skimmer(s), the drain(s), the pump, the filter, the landscaping, the barriers and gates, the electrical system, the equipment shed (chemical storage), and so much more.
NOTE: If the pool has been winterized (pool cover is on), I will remove the pool cover in sections to look at the pool and tell you as much as I can about the pool and what I observe on the day of the inspection. Normally the inspection takes about 60 minutes but it will take me longer if the pool has a cover on it so please prepare for 90-120 minutes.
A verbal summary of my observations is provided on the day of the inspection and then a thorough written report will be emailed to you 1-3 days after the actual inspection of the pool. The report will contain photos, descriptions, and recommendations, if any, of the pool and its components.
We inspect items such as pump/filter, fences/gates, electrical/lighting, pool patios/decks, skimmer/drain, coping/tile and more.
